Abstract: Water damage can occur in libraries and archives for many reasons including storm damage or leaking pipes. This tutorial will give you the tools and information you need to salvage paper based materials and minimize the damage caused by water.



A note about using this tutorial: Watch the video from beginning to end, or use the menu tabs you see along the right hand side to search the video and tailor it to your needs. If you see a specific topic of interest in the Transcript or Table of Contents simply click on it and it will take you directly to that section of the video. Use the Search tab to seek out specific terms (i.e. book, water damage, photograph) and you will find all
the places the tutorial mentions that topic. The Image Gallery allows you to zoom in and explore the details of the photographs in the tutorial. Clicking on a photo will also bring up that point in the tutorial; making it another form of useful search. Don’t forget about
